About us
The Alexandre Herculano 19 building is a century-old space with four airy facades in the style of the 19th/20th century, situated in an absolutely central location, adjacent to Avenida da Liberdade.
It stands as a meticulously restored and revitalized landmark, offering dynamic and versatile spaces tailored for a multitude of professional endeavors, breathing new life into its historic structure.
For four generations, Alexandre Herculano 19 has remained within the same family, now managed by Pedro Severim Melo. Pedro brings expertise in Interior Architecture and a Postgraduate degree in Rehabilitation, allowing him to spearhead structural reforms since the beginning of the 21st century, ensuring contemporary comfort without compromising the building’s historic integrity.
Pedro Severim Melo
With a degree in Interior Architecture and a Postgraduate Degree in Interior Rehabilitation, Pedro Melo has been managing this professional-use building since 2003. In the 20 years prior, he worked on various individual restoration projects. He co-created and developed a franchise network with 21 stores in Portugal.
In 2003, Pedro Melo began developing the Office Center project. After a significant restoration and renovation of the building, it is now more versatile, with fluid use and circulation. Today, it hosts a wide range of professional proposals, with a special focus on health and wellness areas.
The Store
The store, located at the basement level, houses a multi-brand designer showroom.
On the ground floor, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th floors, there are around 60 independent rooms, managed and supported by a secretarial service available from Monday to Friday between 10 AM and 7 PM, with free access at other times.

Our office solutions cater to a diverse range of professional needs, offering flexibility for long-term commitments, short stays, or part-time use. Embracing a philosophy of bespoke service, we provide fully equipped spaces ready for immediate occupancy, or customizable areas where clients can personalize their workspace according to their preferences. Each office ensures a comfortable and productive environment, blending private workspaces with access to communal areas, some of which open up to the outdoors, fostering a harmonious balance between work and nature.
We also offer company or individual domiciliation services, with or without secretarial support. Our meeting rooms are flexible and adaptable, allowing for a variety of events such as showroom displays, exhibitions, professional training sessions, conferences, and filming, among others.
In line with our sustainability efforts and commitment to comfort, we offer a shared kitchen area equipped with amenities like coffee, tea, and hot chocolate machines, water filters, microwaves, refrigerators, and more. This space encourages a sense of community while providing convenience for all occupants.
The rear facade features a charming small garden at ground level, bathed in light and tranquility. Here, we carefully nurture three small trees, as well as plants and flowers that gracefully extend their presence and generously provide greenery for all floors.
This space is pleasantly utilized for relaxation throughout the day or as a surprising venue for receptions, photography settings, and more. Come visit us!
